[pct-l] Pack weight?

Ok so im looking at gear and it looks like my weight with just my pack(6lb),
sleeping bag(6lb),and tent(5lb) puts me at 17lbs.  I still need food water
and my gear.  It seems to be adding up to fast.  It seams like 17lbs is a
bit much but its all fairly inexpensive equipment but I had to buy
everything new so trying to save gotta love ebay and craigslist.   Just
wondeing what weight other hikers are looking at?  Thanks gerry0625
