[pct-l] Seiad Valley to Ashland - Section R

Has anyone heard about current trail conditions on Section R, or been on
it first hand?

My best guess is that there will be short patches of snow above 6000ft, with 
snow fields on north faces.  The snotel on RedMtn (6000ft) just west of Mt 
Ashland shows 8inches left today.  Most likely it is at least 80% melted 
out, but there hasn't been any logging out on it. There's a road that 
parallels the trail east of Reeves ranch that is a good alternative if the 
trail is under snow.
