[pct-l] Snow 2011?

Well as I was talking with this thru about my trip a week or so ago,I
had mentioned it was the biggest year ever(judging on the amount of
snow I hand shoveled this year!). I then get overtaken by some dude on
a bike,yelling at me that I didnt know anything and that it was the
twelth biggest according to him,the allmighty bikemaster of mammoth!
After realizing that a swift beating would do this guy no good,I
listened to him go over every year that was bigger,his claim was that
83 was the biggest on record. He claimed 06 was bigger! I remember
05,but 06 was the flood year around my parts,and warmer storms because
of el nino,so I had to wonder. Sure its almost impossible to judge the
whole sierra as a one year entity,but hey,if you meet this dude,just
say yes,and wow how interesting,its seems better then the alternate.
He also claimed that the ski places(mammoth) have changed there past
totals to make this year the "record year" I think he lost me
there,just look up at the snow dude! After living the record fall on
Donner Summit,I can tell you these totals are real,this snow is
real,and theres no rush. The place that everyone wants to rush
through,or skip might be the ultimate hiking scenario in a couple
weeks. Is there better spots on the pct?(please dont answer,im not
listening) Did everyone rush through the socal lands just to skip the
pinnacle? I get dropped off (donner summit)on the 4th of july,and I
will sobo to my last destination or ???,I like to stop and enjoy,maybe
fish for a few days! Then if I still have time,I will get as close to
canada as possible(bus) and sobo as far as possible(home),and if I
have to,ill skip sections ive done before. I will no doubt meet most
of the thrus this way,cool stuff. This is the life of a 2011 thru,and
