Good morning!
I will be at Ebbetts Pass at the PCT and Highway 4 from 8 AM Friday,
July 15, through 6 PM Sunday, July 17 providing goodies, chairs, shade,
water, minor resupply fill-in items, message services, etc. to thru and
section hikers.
I do not yet know whether I will be set up exactly at the crossing of
the PCT and Highway 4, the nearby trailhead parking, or at some good
flat spot elsewhere, but I will put up a sign for hikers to see.
If hikers are not hiking alone, I would be happy to drive folks into
Markleeville to the store, so long as I have a hiker volunteer to stay
at the angel stop and keep it attended and going while we do the round
trip to town.
I do not yet know if I will be camping at the Pass, or returning each
night to Bear Valley or Markleeville. If I return to town, hikers are
welcome to a ride if they are willing to wait until late in the day.
Sunday night, I will be able to provide one-way transportation to
anywhere on the way back to Sacramento and vicinity for up to 2 people.
If an individual hiker needs something specific, or you would like to
get something to a hiker who is likely to pass by during that window,
let me know by private return email, so that we can get the logistics
right.
