[pct-l] Southern Sierra Flood Watch

Curious - as you get closer to the water source in the Sierras, would this affect the timing of the high flows for the day - meaning the closer to the glacier the earlier in the evening the pulse of high water would pass by? Timing suggestions are welcome to map out river crossing times.
