[pct-l] Ebbetts Pass/PCT and Highway 4 crossing trail magic

Good morning!
 
I will be at Ebbetts Pass with trail magic on either the Fri-Sat-Sun
July 9-11, or July 16-18.  
 
I need your help in determining which weekend.  From your perspective,
from your on-trail friends' and relatives' perspectives, or from your
reasonable knowledge about when hikers might be going by, which do you
think is best?
 
Also, I have not been at that exact PCT/Highway 4 crossing.  Is it
suitable to park and set up some chairs and some portable tables right
there, or will it be necessary to go down to the trailhead parking, and
point a sign down to that place?
 
I will let the list know when I will be going.  I can assist with
bringing specific things to specific hikers, if you are confident that
they will be travelling by.  I can also provide rides into Markleeville,
but only if I have someone who can attend the angel spot for a couple of
hours while we do the turnaround - that could be someone who comes up to
sit around with us, a generous hiker, or ??
