Are you allergic to Avon SSS?  Have you tried Blue Lizard, which my dermtologist recommends?  Not sure about its ingredients for allergies, but it was originally developed in Australia, for longer protection in more rigorous conditions.

Subject: [pct-l] Sunscreen

After finding out from my dermatologist that "maybe this sunscreen (Avon's
SSS) is not for you", he recommended Anthelios 60, which Walgreen's
carries.  The 5 oz. tube is $39.00 plus Heliocare capsules, which I ordered
(per his instructions) off the internet - $50 for 60 capsules.  The capsules
are good for 4-6 hours.  So far I've not had a sunburn, but we've also had
very little sunshine since I came home with my medical problem. I'm
fair-skinned and burn easily.
