[pct-l] to thru or not to thru...

Nobody asked me, and I have never, and will never, thru hike the PCT, I'd still like to throw out my opinion. I did find in Webster's "through and through" means traveling to the destination without stops. And a definition of through to mean from "beginning to end", but no specific time line. Regardless, I personally still see a thru hike as one that begins and ends in the same time frame, i.e., spring into/thru fall. To say you have hiked the entire PCT, again in my opinion, regardless as to how long it took is a feat so large, so VERY few even within the family of hikers can say they accomplished it, is to be the envy of the rest of us. My point being a "thru hike" or "having hiked all the PCT", either way is an accomplishment you should hold your head up proud to admit to anyone.
