[pct-l] Bear canisters

Good afternoon!

I noted in a journal today that a bear in Yosemite had made off with one
hiker's backpack, which was subsequently recovered. The journal noted also
that "most of his food was in the canister and only a few snack bars were
eaten." The canister was not disturbed.

The law, and protectors of hikers, and protectors of bears all agree that
100% of food and scented items should be in the bear canister when camped in
can-required areas. This bear could end up losing its life as a result of
this one instance of carelessness.

A bear with access to human goodies=a bear that gets aggressive around
people to get at their goodies=one dead bear.

Pretty please, with a cherry on top (of your food inside the bear canister),
don't leave anything for bears to get at, however trivial it might seem at
the time.
