[pct-l] Leaving the PCT at the Canadian Border

Good evening, Flying Tortoise,

As Radar mentioned, look in the guidebooks and maps for where the PCT
crosses Harts Pass. At the pass is a campground near the end of a
recreation road that goes southeast about 20 miles to intersect Hwy 20 , the
North Cascades Highway, on its way to Winthrop.

The elevation at the pass is almost 6,200 ft. which means given some early
season snow the road will likely be closed to vehicles. I don't know for
sure if/when the road is closed for the winter. At best, getting a ride at
the pass late in the season might be tricky – maybe a few hunters could be
up there -- else it’s a 20-mile downhill road walk.
