[pct-l] SOCKS

I went Jardine style with the nylon dress socks. I generally hiked with 2
pair at a time and carried another three pair. I think that they lasted
around 800 miles. But they are so cheap it doesn't matter.

This year I am carrying a pair of toe socks with another 3 pair of nylons.
If the toe socks really work well, I might hike with them exclusively.
