Making stuff is fun, but I wish I had a Pfaff. You can sew anything with those. I've made heavy storm sails and skin kayak parts on a Pfaff. I own an old Kenmore, and that has been fine for silnylon. Made several tarps, and 2 quilts with it. You're right, sometimes it's worth it to make stuff, just to make stuff. Shroomer
