The bear canister loan program is run solely on the HONOR SYSTEM...
Though I have my doubts about the direction and future of our society 
ethically and morally, I have great faith in the PCT community - yet I'm 
not so naive as to expect zero 'bad apples' in the PCT 'barrel', either...
We'll take our lumps once in a while, but I also believe that PCT trail 
magic & trail angels will convert some of the very few 'bad apples' over 
to the 'good side'!   ;-)

Yes, that is reason 'enough', and you will be considered - but whether 
you're selected or not will depend upon the quantity of loan requests over 
the next few weeks, and, if needed, 'weighing' the relative 'needs' of each
person requesting a canister loan (and THAT is the only miserable part of 
the program for me personally!)...
