When I was down in that area, the BigBasin to the Ocean and back trail, with 
a 25lb bag of rice in my pack was a worthwhile grinder - start in the early 
morning and be back home by evening. I found the rice was more conformal to 
my back than water bottles; also it didn't have the shifting mass effect.
