thee is a websight somewhere about thru-fihing the jmt... several people have
done it.
that is not on the same scale as snake hunting the dessert, fish are in surplus
and do not hold up a vital part of the ecosystem. also there is enough other
natural life that the guts etc all get eaten by animals... and dont sit on the
trailside for months

In the Sierra, fishing is legal, with a license, from the last Saturday
in April to Nov. 15. Limit 5 per day, 10 in possession. Good fishing
north of Tully Hole. Wild trout are tasty boiled, believe it or not.
