If you want people to actually read your posts, I suggest a few
guidelines, from

Remember that the list strips out all the formatting and attachments
from your messages, so concentrate on the text. If you want to send
photos post them on a website, and send the link.

Netiquette, or email etiquette in formatting your email can go a long
way towards getting your message read...

How often do you receive email that is a solid block of text? It looks
like someone's stream of consciousness, and most likely it is. Just as
in a letter the formatting and spacing make it easier to read, taking
time to format email makes it clear and easy to read as well.

Remember that your goal is to help your reader understand your
message. In emails of one or two lines the formatting is less
important, but in longer emails a few simple design elements keep your
message readable and clear.

Netiquette tips for formatting your email messages:

o Paragraphs: Present your information in bit-sized chunks. Short
paragraphs of 3-4 lines each are ideal. On the screen, it is very
difficult to read large blocks of text but small paragraphs are easy
to read quickly.

Bonus: breaking your thoughts into small paragraphs will help you
organize them, so your message will be more succinct. Yes, it takes a
few extra seconds, but not all that much, and your reader will
appreciate it.

o Headings: If your message has several points, use headings to mark
the different sections.

o Spacing: Double space between paragraphs to create white space.
White space helps readers understand your organization, and also helps
them avoid eyestrain.
