[pct-l] loading Halfmile maps and waypoints in Droid X

The DX has satellite based GPS so does not need cell service.

If you use the GPS constantly the battery will be toast in probably 6
hours..I'm guessing.

I plan to use an extended life battery in my DX and carry the stock battery
plus the wall charger.

I plan to use the DX sparingly for journalling and the GPS only when my maps
fail me.

As for functionality of the GPS I have BackCountry Navigator on my DX and so
far BCN has mastered me!

I am new to the whole smartphone thing but I am considering the Droid X. I
has hoping you could answer a few questios.

1) What maps will you download?
2) What is the battery life and how will you recharge them?
3) How much of the trail will you be able to use GPS (get a signal)?

Thanks
