Actually the Earths magnetic pole is shifting.  It moves all the time.  That’s 
why you have to set your compasses declination to compensate for this. (I know 
you already know this).  But here is a site that will let you calculate the 
exact declination for a specific location, and a specific date.

information to ponder while
