Dear Ashley

It might be due to the low density of the weaving of the cloth. If the
loss of the weight was small, you do not worry about this. It is a
frequently observed phenomenon. But, if the loss of the weight was
noticeable level, you might consider to buy another sleeping bag.

I have a MHW and a Marmot Helium sleeping bag, very few of small
feather go out from the both. One or two in a night. This is a normal
level.

So after a a few years of very occasional use I have noticed that its losing more and more feathers (not a lot but my pants are sparkled white with them in the morning and some around the tent on our last overnighter). I checked for holes but couldn't find one though I did see that some were beginning to poke through the nylon. I'm totally use to being covered since by regular nightly blanket is down but I'm worried that I might be losing my degree rating as well. Its rated as 25+ F and I was planning on using it our hike and wearing cloths on cold days (I sleep fairly warm).
> So my main question is when your down sleeping bag starts losing feathers what do you do or conclude? Is it time to spend that money on that helium I've been eyeing?Ashley
