Seems to me that they answered your questions and did so without a  
lot of muss and fuss. Perhaps they didn't know what jacket you were  
asking about in the last email because the person who actually  
answered the email was a different person than the first one. It's  
always a good idea to consider any communication with a company as a  
standalone entity and not a conversation, so include the pertinent  
details with each inquiry. You probably could have saved yourself a  
lot of headaches by simply asking for a breakdown of what each item  
weighed in the first email. They really had no idea from the first  
email that this was the information you really wanted and they really  
don't care what you want to do with the information.
