[pct-l] shoe replacement

I have a different theory on footwear than most people. Basically, that it's
better to have less cushioning and support, so the body can move naturally.
Barefoot is best, or a soft sole, just something to protect the sole. In
theory. Maybe not for a thru-hike, or maybe we're all just conditioned to
believe that. People have been walking long distances for all of history,
before Nike ever came along.

This is all assuming one has healthy feet, of course. Since I do, I replace
my shoes only when truly necessary, as in, they're shredded.
