[pct-l] shoe replacement

They lose the ability to cushion, or rather, it loses its structure which
can increase the chance of injury.  It's the EVA midsole.  The damage may
not be easy to see.  I'd rather replace the shoes early than risk having bad
shoes cause a foot injury on a thru hike.
