[pct-l] Hot Springs (was Deep Creek Detour)

The developed side of Keough Hot Springs is nice, and there are campsites and it
is a short hitch to Bishop. Taboose Pass is a few miles south. A small
restaurant is on site plus showers . Cost to use the developed hot springs is
about $8 per day. The outflow of the pool are the pools that Diane mentions,
and while the water is not as hot as the developed pool, it is hot enough and
plenty refreshing.

Are the hot springs near the Mammoth Airport still open?

Shroomer you are a hippie through-and-through, aren't you?

Wasn't there also an alternate route out of Steven's Pass that went
by a hot spring? Could be a possibility for some under certain
conditions.

Also, if you are of the more adventurous sort (adventurous with
hitchhiking), you could attempt to hitchhike to Keogh Hot Spring when
you go for a resupply to Independence. Keogh is all built up like a
resort, but before you get to the resort, the hot spring is running
through the creek. It's a hot ditch. There are pools that you can
select based on temperature. Keogh is about 30 miles south of Bishop.
You'd definitely have to hitch.

And I'm probably wrong, but I thing there was an alternate route
north of Wrightwood that might have had a hot spring, or maybe just a
creek. Warner Springs Monty told me he likes this alternate.
