While we're on the subject of drinking water at night;

Helpful tip...

... In cold weather pee before you have to...  Our body will keep our urine warm at the expense of your limbs and even in some cases your heart.

This is why when ou hold your pee in your sleeping bag you wake up freezing...  Empty your bladder and your body will be plenty warm...

... Don't hold it ... It's what vestibules are for
