[pct-l] Bear Canisters

You absolutely MUST have a bear canister where they are required in
California....otherwise, not only is it illegal and you could get in
trouble, you might be responsible for a bear getting your food which 1. puts
the bear in great danger of being killed--they (the bear management people)
admit that they don't re-locate offenders anymore, because it just doesn't
work, 2. causes trouble for everyone else on the trail. The canisters have
mostly kept the bears out of our hair in the backcountry....an improvement
over the past.

They don't weight THAT much! Come on.
