Greg,
If the pressure from the contents of your pack on the reservoir is 0, could
you run your hose from the bottom of the pack (instead of over the shoulder)
and let air into the bite valve and the water level should equalize? It is
kind of what you were thinking, but no pack pressure and using the current
hose and letting air in the bite valve?
