[pct-l] The AT as a "green tunnel"

Having backpacked the entire AT, it's a ridiculous statement to call the AT a green tunnel. Does the AT have more deciduous woods - yes. However it also has awesome views and the the mountains are significantly older then the west coast - even though the mtns aren't as high. The terrain in general is vastly different.
