Hi,
if your family has GPS (either the handheld kind or the kind used to
navigate ina car, like a TomTom) they can use the GPS Waypoints for Trail
Angels found at:

http://planyourhike.com/maps/gps.html#angels

You'll have to download them onto the GPS device.  The waypoints in the file
are all the road crossings and resupply points along the PCT.  They are
labeled the same as the waypoints on Half Mile's Maps.... so if you decide
to use Half Mile's maps on your hike, then you'll be able to meet up with
them n/p (assuming they are driving).
