I used his PCT Atlas on two hikes this summer:  Hat Creek Rim and Three Sisters areas.  I did not find them difficult to use at all.  Granted, there are a couple of areas that could be improved, but that's not necessarily a fatal flaw.  Whether this new material stands to be as much of an improvement over the Atlas as the Atlas is over the WP books remains to be seen.
