I am no super techie, in fact I am a little dumb with hi-tech stuff, but I am thinking that I might like using halfmile's way-points this summer with my GPS.  I have an old garmin eTrex that I have had for three years and hardly ever use because I don't really need it.  Anyway, Do I have to download like Nat Geo or Garmen West Cost maps first?  If so, what do people think is the best GPS software to use in a Garman for the PCT?
