I'm sure the ruck will be fun for all. Sorry to miss it. On the subject of gourmet meals, Sharrel and I have just finished dinner at Seasons in Lone Pine. Switchback, you are right, it's a very good restraurant.

Only 5 more days until the Ruck of all Rucks --- the Walker Pass Food Ruck (June 3-6). I have to go down to the donut shop Wednesday and put the big order in for a Thursday morning pick up. I am still torn on what donats goodies to order. I think I will restrict it to 6 varieties.

I have my Hiker Oxygen Concentrator gear all packed for the demo. I have my Kernville motel room reservations all set. I am looking forward to having trout dinners overlooking the river and rafters. The motel has a pool, so I will get my swims in.

I will sneak back into the Ruck each morning like I have been there all night camping out. This is too cool. No one will be the wiser. Hikers will be eating their donuts, which is a cleaver diversion as I slide back into camp.

Yes, copious amounts of fun will be had by all. New friendships will be sparked and old friendships rekindled. All of this because of the King Rucker, birthday boy and chief chef, Manyon Ed. Everyone be sure to tell Ed how they appreciate his hard work and leadership to pull this off --- and Happy Birthday.

Your obedient servant and Knight of the Trail,

Sir Switchback of the Trail Pirate
Undocumented Thru-Hiker and Viscount of Trail Chicanery

PS: Don't forget that there will be lots of good healthy foods at the Ruck too.
