The hikers that have stayed here in the past 3 years have mostly taken the
original route. NOBO and SOBO. I don't know where you get your figures of a
hundred each year. I talk to each hiker who stays here as to what route they
are taking.  The two years before only a few (under 10) took the reroute.
We've had 200-240 through our home each of the last 5 years. As the years
have progressed fewer and fewer hikers attempt the reroute. Last year
everyone took the original PCT. Last year 4 SOBO hikers tried and couldn't
get through.
