Jim "the owner" won't hurt you!  Mono Hot Springs - know that well.  Your in the sierras. Please, north facings slopes can be shady.  VVR is what it is.  I've been there twice, extended zeros.  As far as a resupply I have sent one there.  Last year got a ride from a VVR employee to Fresno Lenscrafters, REI, laundromat, and store and back.  I watched a movie on DVD that was not in the theaters yet!  Food is good.  Unfortunately, that employee was let go, not sure why?  Business is business, the sierras are the sierras, and timing is everything.  Hope to see some "thrus" there this year...If I get there...which I will...maybe!.
