Yes - TANG is great and is still available. It was specified for the astronauts. In addition to my several water containers I always had one with Tang. When beginning any section I started with one bottle of Gatorade. When it was empty it would become the Tang bottle for the rest of that section. Other beverages that I brought on the trail: Hot apple cider mix. Swiss Miss "Dark Chocolate Sensation", great calories - 150 per ! Then I would add Nido powdered whole milk. A delicious drink in camp.

It is strange, water is sooo boring, except when I am on the trail when it suddenly just becomes the best thing in the world. However, I will also carry an electrolyte mix and add that as needed, depending on the amount of salty snacks I have had that day. I will use powered milk in the morning and in the evening in mghty hot chocolate milk. I also drink chicken noodle cup-a-soup. I may bring some Tang with me this year. They still make Tang don't they?
