[pct-l] The Great Underwear Debate

In doing some sections (J, K, L) men's Patagonia 9 Trails running shorts
(built in liner) worked good for me. Had 1 pair or sometimes 2 pair (if
I was making a town stop and wanted something clean to wear there).
Otherwise, rinsed out shorts in a kettle of water each night (no soap -
another thing to carry) and changed into to the stuff I slept in - smart
wool micro weight underwear. The 9 Trails usually dried overnight after
being spread out on a tree limb or bush. No irritation or fungus or gunk
issues. They stood up to abrasions, snags, and the usual trail wear and
tear.
