[pct-l] Ashland to Crater Lake

Day hiked yesterday just below the PCT on the Mt Thielsen trail near Diamond Lake just north of Crater Lake. Patches of snow starting at 6,000 ft., a little more higher up but all melting fast and warm temps in the forecast.

"Your hike should go great! ~ 'cept the skeeters 
are waiting for ya!"

Oh, yes ... they're out in force. I started out in shorts and tee, but quickly changed to permethrin treated long-sleeved shirt and hiking pants in an attempt to save my sanity.
