"They" always say don't hike alone. While I enjoy solo hikes, in conditions
such as San Jacinto snow like this, it would be wise for hikers to group up
and stay together through the snow. Navigation can be tricky up there when
snow and clouds cover the trail and landmarks, and a fall is easier and more
dangerous in the ice. Even if you hike alone, consider forming a group in
these conditions.
