[pct-l] Hand cycling along the PCT?

Neon,

I've only got to hike the stretch from Campo to Echo Lake so I can't speak from actual experience. However I have heard tale of wide trails with low angle inclines in parts of Oregon. Hopefully some of the list member can come up with a suitable area for a fit person such as your brother to utilize his hand cycle on the trail and not at a rest stop.

Hello all,

I am planning on thru-hiking this year, and am doing so not just because I
enjoy it- but also to raise money and awareness for my Brother-in-law's
non-profit- The IM ABLE Foundation (http://getupandmove.org/home.php)  My
brother-in-law, Chris, has a genetic disorder that has taken away most use
of his legs since he was diagnosed at age 21.  He started the IM ABLE
Foundation to promote active lifestyles for people with disabilities,
encouraging people to get out there and enjoy life.

Since I am raising money and awareness for his foundation on my thru-hike,
Chris would love it if he could come out and join me with his ~3ft wide hand
cycle for a day or so on the trail.  I would like to hear from experienced
voices out there where the best potential for that to happen would be.
 There's only one issue- he will not be able to come to the desert in SoCal
because he has a triathlon he puts on every year in May (this year it's May
22)
