[pct-l] High Fat Food and thru hiking

I understand most hikers burn between 5,000 and 6,000 calories a day. Most
hikers seem to loose a lot of weight by the time they reach the end of the
trail. Average 30-40 # for the guys and 15-20 for the gals. Makes the gals
mad.......:)   By the time you hit here there is no concern about healthy.
Sorry to bust your bubble. If you've never done a long distance hike you
won't believe what and how much you are eating by the end.
