FWIW: It can be a pain to determine bus schedules when you get to
town, so maybe print a copy of the following items and stick them in
your resupply boxes.

Big Bear
Travel between BB City and BB Lake. Fixed routes 1 and 1a are of
interest. Might want to stay in the former and shop in the latter.

Mojave - Tehachapi
Maybe unlikely, but you might want get from one to the other. Also,
not sure if this is the route, but I hear tell you can get a bus to
let you off on highway 58 where the PCT crosses.

Onyx - Lake Isabella
Gets you part of the way to/from Walker Pass

Lone Pine - Bishop
If you exit at Kearsarge Pass, may want to shop at Bishop Vons, and/or
stay at Lone Pine Hostel.

Mammoth
Gets you around town and back to the trail. Note that it may take
three buses to go between Red's and Mammoth - one to get from Red's to
the ski lodge, then the 'biker bus' to Mammoth Village, and then the
trolley to take you further into Mammoth. (Note that this is the
winter schedule.)

South Lake Tahoe
Look under 'bus routes', then 'Routes in the the city of South Lake
Tahoe'. Routes 50 and 52 could be of interest. 50 will take you
between the 'Y' and casinos. 52 takes you to Lake Tahoe Community
College, which allows you a few hours of free internet time.

Ashland
Routes 10 and 15 of interest. Note that it costs fifty cents to ride
the local bus, not free as the handbook states. (Saves embarrassment
if you have the change.) FYI - Southern Oregon University has free
internet at the library.
