I get all that about the regs, I was just under the impression that once u
got the fire permits you basically are taking on the responsibility and if u
start a forrest fire then your well %*#$.  But I guess I miss read the info
on the site when I was doing my application for the permit.  I thought I
could start a fire as long as u have a bucket of h2o or shovel had to clear
so many feet around it and had to make sure no heat is coming from it and
its covered before u leave.  I forget what else I have all the paper work
gonna have read the info again cause sounds like im way off from what I am
reading on here.
I guess it doesn't really matter cause im going to buy a stove but its just
funny to me that I had to submit paper work and get a permit to operate a
camping stove made a little more sense when I thought it was to start a
campfire. Then again I need a permit to walk thru also. This is my first PCT
hike...
