[pct-l] Pot question

Joe--

I use the Snow Peak 600 as a mug and pot, even though it is technically not
built for that purpose. It holds about 21 ounces--more than enough for a
solo hiker's hot water needs--and weighs less than 3 ounces. For a lid, I
take some tin foil. It works fine on my pocket rocket. Round it out with
extra tin foil for a foldable windscreen. The pocket rocket, foil lid, wind
screen, a lighter, and spork all fit inside the cup for travel.

The cup heats fast, as in don't-go-to-do-something-else-in-the-meantime
fast. One needs to be careful in using the mug right from the stove as it
is very hot, but oh boy is it nice on cold mornings to warm my hands with
that mug!

Note, use the single NOT the double wall cup for cooking. There is a risk
that moisture will be trapped in a double wall mug and could explode if
heated.

Subject: [pct-l] Pot question

I'm considering buying a Snow Peak Titanium Trek 700 Mug for my cooking pot.
I'd love some advice from those who have been there, done that before I
click the "Buy" button.
Looking forward to meeting the Hikertrash Class of 2011 as you make your way
through Section E. The friendliest section on the PCT!

Life is good!
