Olallie Lake Scenic Area Closed Due to Fire Activity

Fire Update August 21, 2010

Good progress was made by firefighters yesterday on the View Lake Fire located within the Olallie Lake Scenic Area.  However, the Olallie Lake Scenic Area remains closed until further notice.  No estimate on when the Olallie Scenic Area will be re-opened to the public is yet available.  All campgrounds and trails are closed within the Olallie Lake Scenic Area including a portion of the Pacific Crest Trail.  Road blocks have been set up at the junction of Forest Road 46 and Road 4220, and also at the junction of Road 4690 and Road 4220.  Travel/access to Breitenbush Lake is not possible.
