I would offer the comment that: there may have been 400 thru hiker starters 
this year, maybe half that made it to O/P/Q, but most importantly, they 
represent a small fraction of the hikers on the PCT - there are way more 
section hikers than thru's...  as such, thru hiker specific info if not 
understood by the sectioners as such and can be misleading or worse [this is 
a PCT list, not a PCT-thru List]. In my case, I kicked myself all the way 
home - where there were multiple 2L and 4L bladders sitting, collecting dust 
(and in fact without the trail journal "info" and personal contacts, would 
have brought at least one). Live and learn.
