Good afternoon, Mat,
Unless you’re an experienced and accomplished snowpack hiker you may wish to
reconsider your starting time or location. This year the snowpack in N.
California is high, and you may have difficulty walking starting in May or
even early June. There will probably be stretches of snowpack well into
July.
