I tried the Black Diamond "Cosmo" LED headlamp this summer and more
recently on a Fall High Sierra trek. Used it a couple nights actually
hiking, once half way up the Golden Staircase along Palisade Creek,
Crossed Taboose Creek at night with snow and ice, and every night
around camp, and in the mornings. SInce early July I have used it car
camping to cook, read books and around the house a bit too, and still
haven't changed the batteries. Though anti-headlamp in the past, this
little light made me a convert, and made life a little easier when I
got trapped in the willow thickets along Cartridge Creek as it got
dark. I will still however make fun of anyone else with a light on
their head :) !!!
