[pct-l] Short mileage days

Start a hiking club.  It is easy now that we have the internet.  In the 90s I would have to type a monthly newsletter, but now I just let my group know when I want to hike.

I have a good friend whose idea of a backpacking trip is to hike in 5 miles, make basecamp
and do day hikes out of basecamp.
It is not my idea of fun, but I go because I only see this friend once a year now.
