Jo, in your reply you state that you are "a no trace camper" and that your dog is "very well behaved," yet by your own admission in your trail journal you state that your dog killed a grouse on the trail.  In my book that is not "no trace" and it certainly does not reflect a "well behaved dog" especially if it is suppose to be a "well trained service dog."  

If you have a hidden disability and your dog is truly a service dog, then fine you have the right to have him out there, but please, for the sake of the wildlife, keep him on a leash!
