I walked that on May 6th. Severely boring.
One of the workmen dropping logs down the hill with a front-end loader told
me the hwy was reopening in 2 weeks in a tone that implied we should -not-
road walk after it reopens. Or maybe he was advising caution; it was hard to
hear him over the machinery.
But it's fine to walk on now. Even met a couple local day hikers doing it.
And there were a lot of streams coming down the hills too.

The Angeles Crest Hwy (Hwy.2) is scheduled
to reopen on May 20th. It has been closed for
many years due to a landslide between Vincent
Gap (mile 374) and Islip Saddle (mile 386.1).
This provides opportunities for trail angelling,
as well as a road walk option if snow on Baden-
Powell is too much.
