[pct-l] hiking alone

I had a 4-day stretch in northern California in which i only saw 2 or 3 other hikers in passing, and was essentially on my own.  This was when the various wildfires had dispersed the herd with many skipping ahead, a few doing different routes, etc.  If it weren't for the fires scattering hikers, my longest stretch would have been 2 days in Glacier Peak Wilderness.  

Funny, those stretches seemed much longer than that at the time.
